Smith River Fire Protection District (SRFPD) is a “California independent special district”. The Board of Directors is responsible for all financial aspects of district operations.

The district operates on a Fiscal Year, starting July 1 and ending June 30.

The Del Norte County Auditors’ Office (CAO) holds all district accounts and serves as the bookkeeping agent for the district. The CAO publishes monthly financial reports.
